I was disappointed that there was no refund.
I appreciate that that to do so could create problems but I would like to point out the following:
My google for apartment-hotels in Puerto del Carmen, Lanzerote, Canarias brought out an the hotel, Hacienda Vista Real Resort, in Playa del Carmen, Mexico!
Of course, I should have checked the confirmation better, but to me the word "Mexico" did may not seem so important in that I have found that sometimes parts of cities and towns abroad bear the names of unrealated countries.
On realizing the error the day before traveling I phoned Destinia immediately to cancel. Effectively, the booking was made on July 11 and cancelled on 14 July. It is hard to see that the hotel would have missed many other bookings because of this.
The tariff included breakfast. Why charge for what could not be consumed.
I hope you can look kindly on this letter and I would appreciate your reply.
Sincerely, Patrick Cunningham
