Moulin de l Abbaye - delightful ivy-clad mill located in Brantome - the Venice of the Perigord - has been a feature of one of the most beautiful areas in Dordogne. The River Dronne runs by its terrace and the Monastery Garden the Pont Coude - right angled bridge - a 16th century masterpiece - and the Abbey founded by Charlemagne in 769 take you to the very heart of a timeless Perigord.

The Moulin de l Abbaye is formed by three historical houses
-The ancient Mill in numerous destinies - milled the grain -
weaved wool and even produced electricity for the village at the beginning of the century
-The Miller House located near the caves in front of the Mill
-The Abbot House dating the 13th century where lived Pierre de Bourdeille - abbot and lord of Brantome - located on the other side of the Pont Coude.
Edging Dronne the watercourse of which entrain the wheel of the mill tirelessly you will discover our gastronomic restaurant that opens onto a shady terrace on the riverbanks as well as our two traditional bistrot Au Fil de l Eau for fishlovers and Au Fil du Temps for regional cooking lovers.
