Playa del Inglés is one of the best-known beaches on the island of Gran Canaria. Found in the eastern part of the dunes of Maspalomas, it stretches from Playa de Maspalomas to San Agustín. And just between San Agustín and Playa del Inglés are found the two coves, Cochino and Las Burras.Playa del Inglés is one of the most popular beaches on Gran Canaria and one of the most famous among Europeans, attracting the majority of tourism on the island. With fine sand stretching for three kilometers, its health and quality have earned it the EUs Blue Flag. Another factor in its popularity is its frequentation by gay and nudist communities.
Nearby is an idyllic walking location: full of tropical flowers, it is the point connecting this beach with the Natural Park of Maspalomas.
As one of the areas most entertaining beaches it is impossible to be bored. Just two kilometers from the beach, you can enjoy a multidude of bars, shops, restaurants and commerical centers, which at night contain all the nightlife of the region yet another reason for the beachs fame.
For a nearby bit of tourism, in the plaza is the Ecumenical Temple of Maspalomas the seat of Maspalomas tourism where the towns famous carnivals are all celebrated in the Yumbo Centrum.
